We LOVE our
AWESOME volunteers!
Our Shadow Cats Volunteer Appreciation party on April 30, 2011 was well attended and a fun time was had by all. Elvis says this was his farewell appearance - he wont be back next year, but he’s enjoyed shakin’ it up with Shadow Cats! Great (and abundant) food, free flowing drinks (straight and not so straight) and lots of wonderful stories and fabulous volunteers- we had it all this year.

What’s in the bag for 2012? Volunteer with us and see!

The broadest, and maybe the most meaningful definition of volunteering: Doing more than you have to because you want to, in a cause you consider good. ~ Ivan Scheier

Volunteer

  • Would you like to spend time with the cats at the Shadow Cats Sanctuary?

  • Can you commit to feed our feral colonies once a day (30 minutes one or more days per week)?

  • Would you be interested in fostering a cat or litter of kittens for us?

  • Have you considered being a Shadow Cats trapper (humanely trapping feral cats for TNR)?

  • If you are interested in volunteering your time and efforts to a worthy cause, please contact us.

Volunteering at the Sanctuary

What’s it like to volunteer at the sanctuary?  If you love cats it can be very rewarding.  We have staff who clean every room daily, scoop litter, refill food bowls, and keep the sanctuary shipshape.  The one thing our residents always need and crave more of is human companionship and TLC…that’s where our volunteers come in.  More

Become a Volunteer Trapper for Shadow Cats Rescue!

We are always looking for cat-friendly volunteers to assist us in our efforts to reduce the overpopulation of feral and community cats through a humane program called TNR (Trap, Neuter and Return). TNR is an effective program to reduce the stray and feral population by trapping and sterilizing the cats and then returning them to their original environment, and it’s making a big difference in Central Texas!  More
