We do not take cats in from the public (our
mission is the trapping, sterilizing and
releasing of free-roaming cats) we can give you
information and resources to help you find a
solution.

They do not usually take cats over
the age of 7, or adult cats during kitten
season. You may be placed on a waiting list. You
should expect to make a donation.
If you have cats of a specific breed, such as
Maine Coon or Siamese, check out local rescues
at
www.austinrescue.com.
Ask friends and neighbors if they can help you.
Contact your veterinarian. You may be able to
put up a flyer in their clinic. Please remember
to ask for a donation and screen applicants so
your cat gets a good home.
You can place an ad in your local paper or on
Craig's list or the Handbill online. Ask for an
adoption fee to prevent your pet from becoming a
research subject, dog bait, or worse.
Unfortunately we know there are some unsavory
people out there who would harm these innocent
animals.
Consider other local shelters, such as the
Central Texas SPCA;
but ask if they are a "No Kill" shelter; most
"kill" shelters destroy over 50% of the pets
they take in.

The P.A.S.S. Program was created to help people
help their pets to find new homes or to stay in
their current homes. APA works together with you
to determine and implement the best solution for
you and your pet. They offer advice and
assistance with solving behavioral or medical
issues, and limited assistance with rehoming

dedicated volunteers. We are committed to
assisting you, but resources are limited.
