Walter was
originally placed by a county shelter into a
local barn colony, but he just wasn’t cut out
for the feral life. Lucky for him the barn
owners knew about Shadow Cats, and he came to
live with us at the sanctuary. Walter really
likes the fresh air, outdoorsy feeling, and
privacy of the Outback. There are lots of places
that he can get away from it all – ledges, high
decks, and cubbyholes – and most of the time
that seems to suit him very well. Lately,
though, he’s been experimenting with allowing
himself to be petted a bit occasionally.
