Rescue groups help each other out whenever they
can. So when the Austin Humane Society called
one day about a friendly young cat they’d taken
in who turned out to be feline leukemia
positive, we managed to find room for him in
Cookie’s Place. He’s an absolute sweetheart –
very cuddly and friendly. He can be hard to tell
apart from Woodrow, except that he has the TNR
notch on the tip of his left ear since he was
originally trapped in a local feral cat colony.
Tiptoe came
to the sanctuary in April of 2011, and he
discovered the outdoor enclosure that’s
accessible through Cookie’s Place almost right
away. Since he arrived he’s been spending a lot
of time out there – not to stay away from
people, but just because he really seems to like
all the sights and sounds of the back yard –
and, no doubt, the safety and security of the
special enclosure that lets him enjoy all that
without having to worry about all the things he
had to deal with as a feral cat. But if you go
into the lower part of his Outback enclosure
with treats, he’ll run right down to see you –
so if you don’t find him in Cookie’s Place, just
head out back…but bring goodies!
