Samantha                             Born 10/6/95

Samantha is an old pro – a longtime veteran of the Outback section of the sanctuary and one of its first residents. She was trapped at a local feral colony over ten years ago and unable to be returned. But she doesn’t miss her old life, she has a much better deal here with Shadow Cats. Like a lot of formerly feral cats, Samantha is fairly shy around people – but will allow herself to be approached and petted.
 

Samantha really enjoys the Outback, and what’s not to like? It’s huge, filled with playmates, and lots of birds and other critters just outside to entertain her. She can run on all the shelves and ramps way up high, or go way back in the corner under the porch if she feels like it. In cold weather, there are plenty of cozy cottages with heating pads and fresh blankets and kitty beds to keep her and her pals snug on chilly winter nights. In the summer, she can sit along the outside screened-in walls and enjoy the breeze, or watch the squirrels playing in all the vines on the screened in portion of the roof. And don’t forget daily maid and valet service – not to mention occasional spa treatments, and lots of TLC from volunteers. So you can see why she looks so happy and content!
