Sometimes you
wonder if you’re doing the right thing…and
sometimes you know beyond the shadow of a doubt.
One night many years ago, Sheila was walking up
to La Margarita restaurant in Round Rock when
she heard the sounds of a loud and nasty cat
fight. Suddenly OB came running out of the
darkness and literally jumped right into her
arms! He came home with Sheila that night and
has been at the sanctuary ever since.
Today OB is one
of the senior cats at the sanctuary, and as you
can see he’s VERY happy and content. He lived in
the Outback section of the sanctuary, and while
he loved the ramps and catwalks up high, as in
this photo, he’s also very friendly and
affectionate with people. Now that he’s in his
senior years we’ve moved him inside to Nana’s
Corner, where he’s taken up residence on a big
pillow next to the window like a king on his
throne. He’s the purring champ of the sanctuary
too – he purrs loudly and almost constantly.
Even OB has to stop purring several times a day,
though…to dive into a plate of Fancy Feast. ;o)
