Noelle came to us from another
local shelter where she just wasn’t fitting in,
because she would immediately bite anyone who
came near her. So we took her in, and at our
sanctuary she moved into the Outback, where she
mostly kept to herself…..and bit anyone who
tried to pet her.
A funny thing happens to cats like Noelle after
they spend a few years watching lots of other
cats get petted, brushed, and otherwise loved on
– they often decide that they want some of that
action too. We began approaching her gradually,
and in a few months’ time, she progressed to
allowing herself to be petted three strokes
before she’d turn and bite you.
Fast forward to today…..after lots of patience
and TLC, Noelle has decided that people are
pretty much OK. She’s moved inside now and she’s
playful, friendly, and very pettable, although
still a little bit nippy when she gets excited.
Now we’re working on getting her to sit in our
laps! |
