I have a sponsor!
I would gather up all of the dogs and cats who
roam the streets or hide in buildings if I could
take care of them properly. Thank goodness I
have the opportunity to sponsor one beautiful
little cat that found her way to a sanctuary for
special animals like Lulu. I am so pleased that
Shadow Cats gave me this opportunity to share in
this little charming creature's life. ---Eve

Lulu
Born 8/22/08
If you took an ordinary brown tabby, added a
mixture of both stripes and spots, a few dashes
of lighter coloring for contrast, and threw in a
bit of white here and there...you’d have Lulu!
Sometimes it can be hard to tell some of the
brown tabbies apart at the sanctuary – but not
Lulu. She’s a real beauty, and has a unique
coloring that’s all her own.
Lulu is a young girl who was living in an Austin
feral colony. She got sick, and when she
was brought in for treatment she turned out to
have the feline leukemia virus. Luckily
for her (and for her colony mates too...), her
colony was one that’s under the care of Shadow
Cats. Although Dr. Smith might not be able to work a
miracle every single time, he’s done his share –
and even though she was very ill, under Dr.
Smith’s expert care Lulu managed to pull through.
Now she’s a regular fixture on the KittyCam in
Cookie's Place at the sanctuary.
And from the way she’s settled into her new
life, if she could talk it’s a pretty safe bet
that she’d tell us that she doesn’t miss her old
feral life one bit!
