I have a sponsor!
Lana is such a sweet girl and we've been smitten with her since we first met her.  Thank you Dr. Smith for taking such good care of her, and also Shadow Cats for making sure she has the best life possible.   --Mark & Kimberly Stone--

Lana                                Born 2/22/05

Lana is one gorgeous bundle of love and affection – she’s one of those rare cats who, 15 minutes after arriving at the sanctuary, was completely at home and had made friends with everybody. She explores all over the Uptown porch, and is usually one of the first to come over for some loving when a volunteer walks into the room. And besides being so affectionate, Lana is playful – she’s a little on the pudgy side, but when a sparkly wand toy comes out, she turns into a frantic furry jumping bean!

Lana came back to us several years ago as an adoption return. Her owner claimed that she had stopped using the litter box all the time. In her check-in exam it turned out that she had a severe urinary tract infection that, once treated, cleared up that problem. But…her owner still didn’t want her. Look into those eyes – can you imagine not wanting Lana? And all you can see is her picture…when she’s curled up in your lap purring contentedly, it’s unthinkable. But at Shadow Cats we stand behind every cat for life – so if an adoption doesn’t work out for any reason, they will have a place here at the sanctuary. Lana has also developed stomatitis, a mouth and gum disease. But Dr. Smith and his staff at Central Texas Cat Hospital will make sure she gets all the expert care she needs…and our volunteers at the sanctuary will make sure she gets all the laps she needs.   ;o)
