Elliott                             Born 4/5/03

Mom was a stray, living on her own in desperate circumstances. She had a litter of kittens and left them in a woodpile but was unable to care for them. One by one they perished until only a single kitten remained alive. He was discovered just in the nick of time, turned in to Shadow Cats, and he was named…….Elliott. With a face like this, you’d fall in love with him even if he didn’t have such a compelling story.

Elliott got cleaned up, received the care he needed, and was an adorable little kitten. It was no problem at all finding an adoptive home for him. But he turned out to have one little quirk that is almost always a deal breaker for adoptions – he turned out to be “litter box challenged”. Hardly anyone will tolerate the odor and stains of cat urine everywhere.

Luckily for Elliott, Shadow Cats will! Now, with this little quirk he’ll never be sleeping on the bed…..but he’s certainly not the only cat at the sanctuary with this issue, so there are several areas structured for cats like Elliott. We’d prefer that everyone used the litter box, of course……but if they can’t, we’ll grab the mop and paper towels, and still love them just as much.
