Sometimes the “R” in TNR (trap, neuter and
return) doesn’t work out – a feral colony may
not be in a very safe place, or a cat just isn’t
coping well there and can’t go back. That’s
Delilah – but as if to show that she really
didn’t belong in that Austin feral colony, she
has adapted very well to life at the sanctuary.
Meeting her now, you’d swear she had always been
a house cat – especially when she’s purring in
your lap.
Life on the Uptown porch seems to really agree
with Delilah – she’s added a pound or two since
moving in. In fact, she seems to think that
she’s the queen of Uptown sometimes….and has
been known to have more than a bit of attitude
towards a few of the other cats now and then.
Perhaps it’s just her way of saying “I’m large,
and in charge”. ;o) |
