Some of the cats in the sanctuary have come from
distant locations – from the deserts of Nevada
to the hills of Arkansas. Cici gets the prize
for traveling the shortest distance…..she came
from the house next door! An elderly neighbor
was struggling with a serious illness and could
no longer care for her cat. But they knew just
where to turn, with the Shadow Cats sanctuary
right next door.
There are a number of long haired black cats in
the Outback section of the sanctuary, and it can
sometimes be a challenge to tell them
apart…..but if you had a beauty contest among
them, Cici would probably be the winner. She has
a lustrous, silky smooth, deep black coat and
strikingly beautiful eyes. Although she was used
to living in a home, she also loves the Outback
with its high ledges and ramps where she can
roam and keep an eye on the birds, squirrels,
and other wildlife along the creek nearby. But
she asked us to mention that she really would
like to be part of a home and family again
someday. She’s experienced and ready for you!
