Bradley gives new
meaning to the term “winning personality”. When
a cat of any age comes in to the Austin Animal Center
with the feline leukemia virus, there are few
adoption options for them. But somehow little
Bradley managed to stay there for an
unprecedented 28 days! The volunteers and staff
just couldn’t bear to see such a boisterous
little bundle of love and playfulness
euthanized, so they pulled every string as they
desperately tried to find him a home. Word began
to spread and pleas went out everywhere, but
without luck.
Cookie’s Place at the sanctuary was full – and
sadly, we have to say “no” to a heartbreaking
number of FeLV kitties. But when it seemed that
every other possibility for Bradley had been
exhausted, we decided that he’s just a small guy
and we could manage to squeeze him in somehow. So
on Valentine’s day 2011, to the sound of cheers
all over, he came to his new Shadow Cats home.
Bradley wasted no time livening up Cookie's
Place, and he hasn't stopped....whether he's
dashing after a toy, bathing a new kitten, or
getting gobbled up by the famous fish bed,
Bradley seems to always be in the center of the
action. And even with all that energy,
he's especially affectionate with people and
loves to be petted and held - he's an all-around
versatile guy!
