Lucy                             Born 10/13/00

Lucy’s fur has sort of a wood grain look to it, except for her white chest. That probably helped her really blend in when she was living as a community cat in the lumber storage section of a nearby Lowe’s store along with Faith, Myrtle, and Boy. It didn’t help a bit, though, when the store decided they didn’t want a bunch of cats living there. Lucky for her, Shadow cats came to the rescue once again.




 

We don’t know what Lucy’s background was, or how she came to find herself trying to eke out a living in a lumber yard. But in the Uptown section of the sanctuary, she has settled right into domestic life. She has become quite friendly – as though she remembers from a past life how nice a little TLC can be. And thanks to all the sanctuary volunteers, Lucy gets plenty of that. She’s certainly much too domestic to ever go out to a feral colony, so she will probably remain at the sanctuary. Unless, that is, you happen to have an empty spot on your couch that she would fill perfectly...
