Why Adopt A Rescued Cat?
Because to them, you are truly special!
I may have come from the wrong side of the tracks. Sure, I'm a little shy, because people used to yell at me and throw things at me when I tried to approach them. And yeah, I'm a little untrusting, a little wary of people.. But that doesn't mean I don't love, or I don't FEEL — I feel a lot! I feel hurt and rejection, and yes, jealousy and envy!
Every time someone comes to the adoption day, and they look at me — through me — right past me, to the cute little kitten, the friendly and outgoing kitten, the one that isn't afraid to be playful and, well... HERSELF.
But, I just can't be that way! Not yet, anyway.. Because I'm still not sure if you're the right person for me yet! Maybe if you would look AT me, really SEE me, then maybe I too, could see YOU, and find out if are the special person for me, the one I have been waiting for.. You see, I won't give my heart to just anyone! You have to be meant for me, and, well... SPECIAL.
But, you don't see all of that, do you? You don't see all that I am and all that I can be.. You see only the playful kitty. The friendly kitty. The one who loves everybody! anybody! I mean, you are all the same to her.. None of you is truly SPECIAL... But I think that's sad! Because if everyone is all the same, then how will she ever find her SOUL MATE? The one person in all the world, that was made JUST FOR HER? How will she know? how will you?
Me? I want that someone SPECIAL. That special someone meant just for me.. The one who will love me, cherish and adore me, and see me as their special someone too! And I'll know when I have found the PERFECT person for me.. Yep! I'll know for sure.
You'll be the one that looks right AT me, deep INSIDE me, right into my heart and soul, and right PAST that cute little kitten, and deep into my eyes; and you will SEE ME, like I see you.. As my soul mate. My companion. My best friend.
Until then? I'll keep watching all those cute little kittens go to their new homes.. and I'll keep waiting. Waiting for my soul mate and friend to come and find me and take me home.
