After
contracting feline leukemia in 2004 from another rescue
cat she had inadvertently been exposed to, she lived
almost five years more. After Cookie’s diagnosis, we
developed a keen interest in cats with this condition
which eventually led to the establishment of Cookie’s
Place- a home for happy cats with feline leukemia.
She was an incredible companion for all the years we
were blessed to share with her. She was a valiant and
strong Top Cat and ruled with kind benevolence and
grace.
