By the end of 2007 we will have spayed & neutered over 2000 cats since our inception!
It's easy to forget sometimes just why we keep doing what we do. We're tired, covered in cat fur, and for most of us, we cannot truly go anywhere ever, because then who would take care of the cats? We dedicate ourselves and our lives to the care of cats who need us. Sometimes it frustrating, and very exhausting, but when we think of giving up and throwing in the towel, all we really have to do is reflect back on the many cats whose lives we so impacted through all of the long nights, early mornings, and long tiring days, and any thoughts of quitting go right out the window.
So just how many cats have we spayed and neutered to date? Well, we are compiling all of our data and will soon have an exact count, but the number of spays and neuters since 1998 will soon exceed 2000 cats by the end of 2007. This includes feral cats, socialized kittens, stray cats, and rescued cats in our adoption program.
Wow, we did that? Yes, we did. And this is why we're still here doing what we do. Where would those cats be now if we hadn't? Dead from roaming the streets looking for a mate? Injured from crossing the highway in search of a female cat in heat? Expecting their seventh litter of kittens? It's horrifying to think where they would be now, and how many more of them there would be in this world, if they were still breeding.
This is why we need your help. We rely on donations to be able to provide care for all of the animals that we rescue. We need your contributions to be able to sterilize the feral cats in breeding colonies, so that they don't have to continue to breed suffering. Without your support, we can't do it. As much as they need us, we need you!
