Trailer Walks

Sometimes when we have a really quiet campsite we get to go outside for a few minutes. Mom and Dad have really snug harnesses and leashes for all of us so that we stay right with them. I like being outside sometimes, but I don't like to explore much. What I mostly like to do is roll around on the ground. Dad knows that, so he usually doesn't take me anywhere but on the sidewalk or picnic table in our campsite because he said when I roll around in the dirt it takes him longer to clean me up than I spent on the walk.

Tiger Lily is really adventurous, though. When she sees Mom getting out her harness she gets really excited. Mom takes her outside and lets her sniff around a little, then she just hold on to her leash and lets Tiger Lily walk all around our campsite. Once we were in the desert with some mountains nearby and Tiger Lily went all over the place - we had seen lizards outside the window the night before, and I know she was looking for them but she never found any. She walked all over, though, before Mom finally brought her back inside.

Cairo is still just a little bit scared sometimes, so he never goes outside. But he really likes to sit at the screen door and watch the people in the campsites all around us. Romeo has been camping for so many years that he says he's seen it all many times, so mostly he just lays on the couch and sleeps.
