Look at the Bunny!

We went on a really short camping trip, just a few days long. Our regular Christmas camping trip got canceled at the last minute because Dad found a big leak in the roof of the trailer, and it had done a lot of damage that Dad had to repair. But he finally got everything all put back together and we decided to go out to a nearby state park for a few days before the weather got too hot. We got a really nice campsite in the woods, with big trees right outside the window. The weather was perfect and Mom and Dad kept the windows open all the time - I don't think we hardly slept at night because there was so much to see and hear!

Even Romeo had a good time, he likes camping OK but he just hates the driving part and this was only a short trip. We were all really excited when we first got there, looking out the windows and imagining all the fun we'd have. Dad didn't even bring his computer, so we got to spend lots of time with him ;o) At night Mom and Dad had campfires and would sit right outside the windows so we could see them. There were lots of birds in the trees, and it seemed like there were always birds singing - and there were quite a few people walking around with binoculars watching them. And there were some really big lizards running around that were fun to watch too. But the neatest thing was the bunny that came to see us! He hopped right over next to the trailer and was just outside the front door, I stood there and watched him for a long time. Now that the trailer's all fixed up, I hope we get to go on a big camping trip soon!
