In the trailer, Blossom can get
EVERYWHERE, and does. She seems to have a
fascination with sinks, hopping in and licking
the faucets every chance she gets. I have to
lift her out of the bathroom sink in order to
brush my teeth!
The litter box resides in our
tiny bathtub, and I cut an opening in the bottom
of the bathroom door so the cats can get to it.
One evening after dinner we were sitting on the
couch when we heard water start running, and
realized it was coming from the bathroom. My
first thought was that something had broken –
the pipes and fixtures in the trailer are pretty
flimsy and getting old. So I ran to the
bathroom and flung open the door, expecting to
find another new plumbing problem to repair.
Instead, I found that Blossom had
been fidgeting with the tub faucet handles and
managed to turn one on. The faucet was gushing
directly into the litter box below. In case you
were wondering, clumping litter works great on
ANY amount of liquid, even enough to half fill a
litter box. So on future trips I will carry
extra litter…..
Blossom and Tiger Lily played
even more wildly in the trailer than they do at
home. When they really got going --–usually
right after we went to bed and just before
daybreak---we would just pull the blankets up
and try our best to dodge the flying furballs as
they literally bounced off the walls. I’m sure
anyone walking nearby must have thought we had a
hockey team practicing inside.
Camping
in a small trailer with three cats is more fun
than we ever could have imagined….especially
when one of them is Blossom!
