My Shy Brothers

When we’re in the trailer you don’t see much of Romeo and Cairo in my stories. That’s because they’re kind of shy. Romeo really doesn’t like to travel, he complains a lot whenever we have to drive. He even peed on the bed a couple of times on this trip to try and get Mom and Dad to stop traveling! That didn’t work, though, and now he has to ride locked in his carrier. When we get ready to leave in the morning he tries to run and hide, but Mom always finds him. Most of the time he just lays on the couch in his favorite spot. Once we’re all settled into a campsite he seems pretty happy, but he doesn’t really go around and do much so he doesn’t get into very many pictures or stories.

Cairo has been kind of scared about traveling until right at the end of this trip. He curls up in his closet, and he doesn’t usually come out for a while in a new campsite even when there are interesting things to see out the window. When someone walks by outside it scares him, and he runs back into the closet. Once it gets dark Cairo gets a lot more brave, and he stays up most of the night looking out the windows. Lately it seems like Cairo has been getting more used to camping and he isn’t so scared any more – he comes out and looks around, and whenever he hears my favorite toy coming out of the drawer he runs over to play with me.

I’m not afraid of anything – I know it’s always safe in the trailer, and I can’t wait to see new things out the windows. Romeo and Cairo don’t come out as much, but they’re both really handsome so I thought I’d put in pictures of them even though they’re not doing anything very interesting. They just don’t know how to pose – if they’d take a few tips from me they could be lots more entertaining!
