A Camping Adventure

One day Mom and Dad grabbed me, Romeo, and Tiger Lily and took us out to a big white box in the driveway.  It was like a tiny little house inside, and our food and litter box were out there too.  But why did they want to live in this little house?

The next thing I knew everything was moving and bouncing.  Romeo and Tiger Lily seemed to know just what to do – they curled up in a cubbyhole, so I did too.  After a lot of bouncing we stopped.  Mom and Dad came back inside and opened all the curtains. We were in a completely different place!  What an adventure - we were in the woods, and other people and white boxes were nearby.  There were birds and all kinds of little animals outside, I think I stayed up all night looking out at them.

Every few days we moved, bouncing along the road for hours.  And then we were in a new place, with all new views out the windows.  One time we stayed right next to a big mountain!  People would walk by and see me and Tiger Lily sitting in the window and point at us – you’d think they had never seen cats before.  At night Mom and Dad would sit outside and have campfires, and they turned out all the lights so we could see out the windows better.

We traveled for four weeks – Romeo told me that once he went on a big trip for six months and saw both oceans, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Great Lakes.  I like the trailer, it’s small and I can reach EVERYTHING - not like at home where there are still places that are too high for me to jump up to……so far.   Camping is fun!
