I’m not really much of an artist
– after watching me roll around in the sawdust
in the garage Dad said that finger painting or
mud pies would probably be my style. But there
are a lot of wonderful artists in Austin, and
some of them really love cats. One of them is
Mallory McKenney. Mallory wanted to do
something to help Shadow Cats so she painted a
watercolor portrait of me for the big Shadow
Cats Fall Market. Someone will be able to buy
it and all of the money will go to help take
care of the sanctuary cats and the feral cats
that they watch over.
Mallory also painted a portrait
of another famous Shadow Cat, Cookie Princess
Warrior. It will be for sale at the art market
too. And there will be lots of other really
neat stuff at the market. So try to come if you
can, you’re sure to find something you like and
whatever you buy will really help the kitties.
But you’d better come early, because there’s
only one painting of me! |
