My new big brother, Romeo, has
been kind of a challenge for me. He’s old, and
kind of grumpy…..not at all like me! In the
beginning I tried all the time to get him to
play with me – I even dribbled his head like a
basketball, but he just hissed and growled at
me. For a while, he would start growling
whenever I even came into the same room as him!
So I stopped trying to play with
him……well, mostly. He just doesn’t seem to like
anyone or anything new. I don’t understand that
– I’m always exploring and looking for a new
adventure, and all he ever seems to want to do
is just lie around. But since Tiger Lily plays
with me as much as I want, I’ve started leaving
Romeo mostly alone and he seems to hiss a lot
less these days.
Every now and then when he’s
sleeping I sneak over and try to get close to
him. Maybe someday he’ll even let me curl up
next to him when he’s awake!
