I have a new little brother! A neighbor found a kitten in their garage one
morning and called Dad because he looked sick. The kitten could barely stand
up, so Dad took him to see Dr. Smith at Central Texas Cat Hospital (CTCH), and it
turned out that he was a stray who had almost starved to death. But at CTCH
they knew just what to do, and pretty soon he was feeling better and ready to
come home.
Since he didn’t have a home, Mom and Dad said he could stay with us until they
found a good home for him. They’ve been keeping him in the upstairs bedroom by
himself, but we talk to each other and play footsies under the door. And after
only a few days, Mom and Dad decided that he could stay with us forever!
They named him Cairo because Mom says he has a classic Egyptian look. I have a
feeling that he’s going to be a lot of fun to play with – Tiger Lily still plays
with me, but she’s not always as frisky as me and sometimes I wish she’d play
more often. I can hear Cairo running around his room and playing with all his
toys, so I’m really hoping that he’ll want to play with me too. Mom and Dad are
going to let me meet him soon, and when I do I’ll tell you all about it!
