Even though you
can't see very much of Skipper in this picture,
it was just too cute to pass up – and you can be
sure that the rest of him is just as cute! One
day a staff member at the sanctuary laid a big
folded blanket down on the table in the Uptown
porch; when she came back to pick it up a few
minutes later it seemed very heavy ... If
there's a comfy spot anywhere at the sanctuary,
you can always count on the cats to quickly find
it.
Skipper is a wonderfully healthy and happy cat
now, but when he was found several years ago he
was so tiny that he had to be fed with a
syringe. Now after a little extra care he has
grown into a terrific guy. He's one of the more
playful cats in the Uptown section, which makes
Ian, who's also very playful, really happy.
Skipper gets along with everyone, but he
especially likes chasing around with Ian or
dashing after a favorite toy. And when he's not
playing, he loves to find a willing volunteer's
lap to sit in and purr.
In other words, Skipper is darn near the perfect
all-around cat. And he loves life at the
sanctuary ... but what he'd love even more is
his very own forever home. Preferably with one
or more playmates - but most of all, with you!::
