Yes, miracles do happen!
Noble has had some tough breaks so far in his
short life. He was recently living, just
barely, in an abandoned house in Taylor, and
when he was trapped he was found to have a
serious condition – he was born with no
eyelids.
He could still see, but squinted much of the
time- the lights hurt his eyes and one eye was
becoming cloudy. He required artificial tears
put into his eyes frequently to prevent them
from drying out and matter from building up and
causing him pain and discomfort. Worst of all,
Noble would go blind in the not too distant
future without an expensive surgery.
In the rescue community every cat is
special…..but it’s not often that we have a
chance to save a cat from going blind. The word
went out to the extended Shadow Cats family of
animal lovers all over, and their response was
immediate. The $2,000 needed for Noble’s
surgery was raised in one weekend! Suddenly
Noble’s life has gone from a daily struggle for
survival and a grim future to one surrounded by
love and support. |
