At
Shadow Cats we make a lifetime commitment to
every cat. Even if they are adopted, it’s with
the understanding that if for any reason their
new home doesn’t work out then they will be
returned to us. Some people, though, put their
own embarrassment over their cat’s welfare.
Luna was adopted as a young cat and went, with
much joy, to what everyone thought would be her
forever home. But one day her adoptive parent,
for whatever reason, just dumped Luna outdoors
and then later moved away. A good Samaritan
recognized her wandering around, trapped her,
and returned her to Shadow Cats.
Now Luna lives in the Uptown section of the
sanctuary. As you can see, she’s pretty laid
back these days. She’s not very trusting or
affectionate with new people (gosh, I wonder
why…), but she just LOVES Sheila (the one human
who has always been there for her). While we
can’t control the future for any cat, at Shadow
Cats each little angel we take in is the start
of a lifetime relationship. Come what may, they
will always at least be assured of having a
safe, loving spot here at the sanctuary. And
that’s not such a bad deal!
