Handsome is a former resident of
a Round Rock feral cat colony. Like a few
others, the “R” part of TNR (trap, neuter and
return) wasn’t feasible for him so he now lives
at the sanctuary in the Outback. As you can
see, he doesn’t seem too stressed out about
that! Part of Shadow Cats’ commitment to caring
for feral cat colonies is making other
arrangements to provide for cats who, for
whatever reason, can’t remain at their colonies.
Handsome is a shining example of
that commitment in action. And the Outback is
the perfect place for cats like him – there’s
lots of room to roam, and plenty of places for
cats to just get away by themselves as much as
they want. But there’s an added bonus – a lot
of formerly feral cats, like Handsome, discover
that people aren’t so bad after all, and getting
petted a bit from time to time can actually be
pretty wonderful. Handsome may never be a lap
cat, but much more importantly, he’s a HAPPY
cat…..and another Shadow Cats success story.
