Some
cats like getting petted…..some cats really love
getting petted…..and then there’s Bandit! You
will probably never meet another cat who so
thoroughly enjoys being petted. The minute you
set her in your lap she starts purring, and the
slightest touch sends her into constant motion –
she twists, arches her back, pushes into your
hands….she is a master at completely
appreciating the joy and pleasure of being
petted.
Bandit
is usually tucked away in the skitty kitty /
work room next to the kitchen. She was one of
the first cats that Sheila trapped at the Round
Rock church colony. Bandit is getting older
now, approaching her teens, and usually sticks
to whatever bed, blanket or cubbyhole she is in
when you come into the room – but she really
loves attention. She’s shy, though, and you’ll
almost always have to go pick her up to pet
her. The other more outgoing cats in that room
will compete for your attention, while Bandit
quietly sits there hoping that you notice her
too.
Bandit
has had her teeth removed, and because of her
shyness tends to get pushed away from food by
the other cats. So if you visit, you can give
her another special treat - open a can of Fancy
Feast, her favorite, from the cupboard and sit
with her while she eats. Then be sure to pet
her…lots!
