About Us
Shadow Cats is a 501c3 non-profit organization
dedicated to improving the lives of abused, abandoned,
feral, stray, and injured cats in Round Rock, Austin and
surrounding areas. We do not take in owner-released
animals, but instead focus our efforts into helping
un-owned stray and feral cats and kittens, through
Trap-Neuter-Return-Maintain and/or other socialization
and relocation programs.
While Shadow Cats focus is
not on adoption, we feel that every animal deserves the
best possible placement, so socialized and friendly cats
are placed into foster homes as they are available, and
then join our adoption program.
For animals unable to
return to their original colony or are un-adoptable due
to behavioral issues, we make every effort to find an
alternative living arrangement
such as a suitable barn
placement or as space permits,
relocate to our Sanctuary
in Round Rock, Texas.
Shadow Cats Mission:
Shadow Cats will respect and show compassion to all
animals. We will improve the lives of abused, abandoned,
feral, stray, and injured cats. We will promote spay and
neuter programs, promote Trap, Neuter and Return as the
most humane method of effecting positive change in feral
cat populations, provide educational and informational
assistance to the public, re-home socialized cats and
kittens and provide medical care to those cats under
Shadow Cats guardianship.
